A nice list. I'll be sure to grab some of these when I get my hands on a shiny...

I'd add a few biggies to that list:
-Labyrinth (surely the best use of the accelerometer in a game to date)
-Simply Media - access up to 30 computer's iTunes' libraries over WiFi, 3G or even EDGE (http://www.trustedreviews.com/mobile-phones/news/2008/08/15/iTunes-Tax--Streaming--amp--iPhone-3G-Issues-Arise/p1)
-Teleport (incredible remote desktop control software).

...and obviously Apple's Remote app. All are free too other than Teleport.

Nice list of Apps, managed to find the ones from TheMacBox, but I have to say what a horrendous use of colours

Not used the UK Trains app, but I've found the Kizoom web app (also free) to be quite good for train times plus live arrivals/departures info.

A great utility i use is a music regognition app called MIDOMI. You hear a tune on the TV/Radio and want to know whats its called etc? Just open up this app and click record and it will come back with the title of the tune with links to iTunes and YouTube to purchase it or watch it! Can can also sing into it and it will try and get you the tune info you are using. There is another one of these on the app store which is free at the moment, but they plan to make it a purchase app in the future. MIDOMI will always be free! Great app

the apps would be of more use if the gps was working correctly in the first place !!!

so... is there an application that lets you play FLAC or Ogg files yet? Would be a bit of a clincher for me!

Thanks for the list Andy.....
For those that own a Sonos system (www.trustedreviews.com/multimedia/review/2008/08/11/Sonos-BU150-Wireless-Digital-Music-System/p1), there's a free Sonos Controller app which is awsome.
