'Simply Media' looks good, will try that when I get home, here is hoping apple release an offical app, I mean the remote app already gets everything about whats playing on iTunes but the song, so it shouldnt be that hard

likewise for the UK, sales tax should already be included in iTunes sales.
It's still cheaper to get the same album on CD from CDWow.com or Play.com though - plus you get the artwork and can rip to whatever bitrate you want without Digital Rape Methods

Yes, I've found the 3G coverage pretty poor even in central London.
I've also noticed that O2 appear to have started blocking the BBC iplayer. It was working up until about 2 weeks ago. Has anyone else noticed this?

yes me too, this is probably due to all the iphone 3g's would bring the network to its knee's, we will have to wait until O2's system can handle it

Another sack-load of reasons to hold fire for a glimpse of Android before jumping on the iPhone band-wagon.
Only another month or so to wait to avoid being trapped in an 18 month contract with potentially the wrong handset for your needs.
Android could still turn out to be a turkey, but either way - I'm sitting still until the picture is clearer.
