I've used the original Viewty since around a month after the retail release. The UI doesn't compare to the iphone, but it is still very usable. Besides which, the huge feature list more than makes up for it. Native DivX support is a godsend and it doubles as an excellent modem for my notebook. 120fps video also never seems to lose it's novelty value.
It will be a cold day in hell before I use an iphone or any other polished up mobile with a feature list that is shamed by other phones released in 2004 or earlier.
Hopefully this new Viewty successor will bring the UI up to standard, although the marketing spend of Apple will do their very best to drown it.

Though I love how this phone looks, it is at a serious disadvantage to the Omnia for the fact that is has LG's own software on it. While I prefer Symbian to Windows Mobile, both have an endless number of application add-ons available. This makes the Omnia a better fit for my needs.

I really hope this will be the "iphone killer". The iphone has been sitting on the multimedia throne for mobile technology for so long now that am sick of it. Funny thing is am a mac user :) but i just couldn't bring myself to upgrade to the 3G handset because i feel it is an unfinished product. The LG specs looks very good on paper but i cant wait for someone o get their hands-on it. So LG..its time to send your baby into the wild.
