Despite not having even been released in the UK yet, Samsung is already dropping the price of its NC10 netbook, in order to better compete with its rivals. Previously slated to cost £329, the system now has an MSRP of £299 - a much more reasonable proposition.

For the unfamiliar or forgetful, the NC10's specs line-up as follows:
- 10.2in, 1,024 x 600 LED-backlit display.
- 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU
- 512MB or 1GB of RAM
- 80GB, 120GB, 160GB 5,400 rpm hard drive
- Ethernet, Bluetooth, WiFi
- Three USB ports, VGA out, card reader
- 1.19Kg (3-cell battery) 1.33Kg (6-cell battery)
- Up to eight hours battery life with 6-cell battery
- Anti-bacterial "Silver Nano Technology" keyboard
- Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
It's definitely cheaper than an Asus N10, at any rate!

Even with the top specs for that price it's more expensive than the (old) Wind, and most of the other netbooks out there.

Very smart... the nicest looking netbook yet in my opinion.
